I wanted to remind you of a few of the incredible things that God says about you.
I find that I often forget what God says about me and instead I can so easily get caught up in hearing what the world says about me.
Thank goodness that what God says is different to what the world says. As I stand on the truth of who the Bible says I am, I am able to step into who He has made me to be and into what He has called me to do more and more.
There are so many wonderful things that God says about us in the Bible and I thought I’d share five of my favourites with you. I hope they are an encouragement to you!
- You are his child
See what great love that Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! - 1 John 3:1
- You are a new creation
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old things have passed away. Look, new things have come. - 2 Corinthians 5:17
- You are free
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. - Galatians 5:1
- You are more than a conqueror
In all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. - Romans 8:37
- You are chosen
You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit - fruit that will last. - John 15:16
