Psalm 61:2 is such an encouraging verse. Here's what the imagery means to me:

  • God is a rock - a firm foundation, steadfast, strong and never changing. 
  • He is a high place - a place of safety but also a point with perspective that is above what we can normally see.
  • He is higher than I - I fall and fail so often, but where I am not able, he is infinitely able.

I find that I often forget what God says about me and instead I can so easily get caught up in hearing what the world says about me. 

Thank goodness that what God says is different to what the world says. As I stand on the truth of who the Bible says I am, I am able to step into who He has made me to be and into what He has called me to do more and more. In this post I share 5 of my favourites!

Answers to prayers we haven't prayed

Matthew 6:8 Daily, we receive grace-filled moments, small blessings and gifts big and small that we never asked for but are given by our Father just the same. As we take a moment to reflect on our days we can start to see how He was working all along, giving us the things we didn’t know we needed and answering both the prayers we prayed and those we didn’t know to pray.

How To Keep This Summer Fruitful, Focused And Joy-Filled

The summer holidays are just around the corner and whilst this year things are looking a little bit different I know that the hard won routine that we have managed to follow (roughly) with work and home education during lockdown will be completely turned on it's head again when school finishes next week.  Whilst I love holidays, I often find it difficult to stick to a great rhythm of Bible reading and quiet times whilst my normal routine is out of the window.
